About Heather's Custom Canine Care

As a lifelong dog owner and dedicated pet care professional, I created Heather's Custom Canine Care to provide thoughtful, individualized care tailored to each pet's needs. My experience includes shelter, daycare, and various veterinary support roles. I am licensed and insured, hold a Veterinary Assistant certification, am Pet CPR & First Aid certified, and Fear Free trained. At home, Bonnie and Paul, my two rescue dogs, inspire my commitment to patience, enrichment, reliability, and compassionate care.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Heather. She took exceptional care of Fiona, who can be very anxious, and treated her with so much patience, gentleness, and understanding. I was blown away by the updates, photos, and the thoughtful attention to her routines and comfort. Heather even played calming dog music and wore calming pheromones! It gave me so much peace of mind knowing that Fiona was in such capable hands.

Heather looked after my dog, Maisy, and 2 cats while I went away for 4 days. She was great!! Communication was excellent with lots of detailed updates and pictures. It's clear she has alot of experience with cats and dogs! You can tell she genuinely loves these pets. And to top it off, I came home to a clean house! It is so nice to know I have found a trustworthy person to come into my home and take such good care of my pets while I am away. I would highly recommend her and will be using her again!!

Heather was absolutely incredible with all four of our fur babies while we were away for a week! We have two cats and two dogs and one of our dogs can be a bit nervous around new people and either shuts down or gets defensive. Heather took time to build a relationship with him, giving him the space he needed to feel comfortable and by the end of our trip they were getting along so well, she really built that trust. All the photos and daily recaps we amazing and she is incredibly thorough!

I cannot say enough great things about Heather. She genuinely cared about Annabelle and Smitty and worked hard to make them feel safe and comfortable.
